Alien: Isolation Gets a Release Date

Alien: Isolation Gets a Release Date
October 7th is the magical date...

We all know that the whole Alien: Colonial Marines thing didn't work out all that well for Sega, with the game going from hugely promising and hotly anticipated to buggy, issue-riddled mess almost overnight just before its release last February, but that hasn't stopped the company from working hard to make better use of its Alien license - and based on what we've seen so far from Alien: Isolation, that may just turn out to be a very good thing!

Already the game is shaping up to be the kind of title fans of the movie universe have been crying out for all these years, and even if we've said that before of previous titles bearing the series branding, this time it genuinely does feel different. Taking more of a nod from the original movie than the more action-oriented follow up that's so often mined for gaming-related reasons, it's looking as though it'll be a true survival horror when it launches later this year - and thanks to a rather unconventional weekend announcment from Sega, we now know when we'll be getting our hands on the finished product...

October 7th

Whip out your diaries right now and mark that date, becuase if things continue to progress as they have been for the Creative Assembly developed title, you're not going to want to miss it!
