Sony PlayStation had some tough times over Christmas, or it might be more accurate to say that users of PSN had some very frustrating times.
The service was down entirely for several days over the holidays and it's only just getting fully back on its feet with maintenance downtime. So as a way of saying sorry and thankyou, PlayStation has a gift for each and every user who was on PSN in December 25th 2014.
From 9am GMT on Friday the 23rd of January to 9am GMT on Monday the 26th, everyone has access to a one-time 10 percent discount off almost anything on the PSN store. That includes full games, indie titles, season passes, DLC and even money off pre-orders of upcoming titles.
Some items won't be accessible - like PS Plus subscriptions, music and video rentals (if they're live in your region) but otherwise you can go to town. In addition, everyone will be getting a free five day extension on their exiting PlayStation Plus subscription, which includes 5 extra days if you're using a free trail. Details on this will be going out to users in the coming days.
For the discount to work, you'll have to input a code which will be appearing on the PS Store and on local Twitter pages soon - keep an eye out over here and we'll annouce it as soon as it becomes available.
Remember - it's just a single use code but you can grab multiple items. Happy shopping!
