Michael Knowland is the latest to leave...

The curious goings on over at Naughty Dog show no signs of stopping, with yet another departure from the company, this time in the shape of The Last of Us lead character articst, Michael Knowland.

The report has come from Superannuation and, although yet to be confirmed by the studio, it marks the fourth high-ranking member of staff to leave the company in recent months, following creative director Amy Hennig, game director Justin Richmond and art director Nate Wells.

While this could simply be a natural part of staff turnover following the completion of a major project in The Last of Us and its downloadable content, the fact that Hennig, Richmond and Wells were working on Uncharted 4 makes it feel like there's perhaps a little more to it.

It's not known whether or not Knowland was involved in work on the forthcoming PlayStation 4 game, and until Naughty Dog makes an official statement, the reasons behind the departure remain pure speculation.
