There have been whispers that Apple is set for a major refresh of its laptop lines and we could be hearing about that before the end of October, 2016.
We'll have to wait for some official word from the company on those plans but another rumour is starting to circulate, and it's bad news for USB fans- which is pretty much everyone.
The latest is that Apple is planning to remove the regular USB ports from its next MacBook range. The news comes from Makotakara and suggests that the new machines will ship with only a USB-C and Thunderbird ports.
Seeing as pretty much everything from hard drives to peripherals still use the regular USB connector you're going to have to look into adaptors galore if this rumour turns out to be true. This could see Apple once again removing a much used piece of tech, in the wake of the death of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
We're also hearing that the 11 inch MacBook Air model will be discontinued and new models will be revealed. More as we get it.
