Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is official and here is its debut trailer. Apparently Ubisoft doesn’t know that you’re not supposed to talk about fight club.
The trailer is packed with the usual Assassin’s Creed goodness, from leaping from great heights and running across buildings to brutal executions. This time around, we’re doing it all in London.
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate takes place in Victorian-era London during the height of the industrial revolution. It’s a time of great disparity with the gap between the poor and the rich expanding all the time. And that’s something that our protagonist, Jacob, seems to take issue with.
The game will star Jacob, who we see here in action, and his sister Evie. Players will be able to switch between the two, though most of the story focuses on Jacob. They will be given the freedom to run amok in the "largest, most modern open-world city" in an Assassin's Creed title yet. As you can see from the trailer, it looks like there will be plenty to do.
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be released in October on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version is expected in spring.
