Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will feature a playable female character

Ubisoft took a lot of flak for the omission of a female protagonist in Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and its defence of the matter. But it seems to have learned its lesson, as the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will feature both male and female playable characters.

We already knew about Jacob, but it will also be possible to play as his sister, Evie. Inside sources say that around 75% of the story will favour Jacob. It will be possible to toggle between the siblings between missions.

Kotaku’s sources also claim that there will be no multiplayer component.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be set during the time of the Industrial Revolution in London, England. The game will feature the criminal underworld of the time, which both siblings are a part of.

Ubisoft is expected to reveal the game later today. The official announcement will take place at 5pm. We’re guessing that Ubisoft will be more careful with its comments to the press and fans alike this time around.
