DevelopersRocksteadyare back at the helm of the Batman series of games, which is all right and proper. And they've got something very exciting indeed in Arkham Knight.
That's not just because it looks gorgeous but also because it seems to be taking the elements which work (that combat system, fluid gameplay, open world) and adding plenty of new spice. And a lot of that comes in the form of the Batmobile which is fully interactive for the first time in the series.
That means you'll be able to zoom around a massive slice of Gotham, seemingly without barriers, and also morph into a very awesome Battle mode which can strafe and fire all kinds of weapons, though somehow these don't actually kill anyone. You'll also be able to launch into flying mode straight out of the car and get it to catch you as you somersault into space.
Here's how the Batmobile gets on during a not-so-subtle infiltration of Ace Chemicals.
It's looking great so far, the only bad thing is we have to wait til June 2015 for its release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
