Battlefield Hardline was supposed to come out in 2014 but slipped into the new year to add extra content to ensure its up to scratch for the millions of franchise fans around the world. And it looks like they've gone all out to make it the best in the series yet.
Visceral Games are making their first Battlefield game, after many years spent on the Dead Space franchise. And it seems they're bringing some of that previous series with them which you can see in the below video that deals with NPCs.
It's pretty rare to see in game characters playing another title, and cool to see the developers getting in a reference for Dead Space. It's also pretty impressive to see the amount of work which has gone into background moments that you may never see. Single player missions are often only seen by gamers once - that's if they even bother to complete the main story - so this attention to detail is most welcome. I'll definitely be stopping to listen to some of that dialogue, before going in heavy with some ballistics.
Battlefield Hardline is on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC from the 17th of March in the US and March 20th in Ireland.
