In case you somehow missed it, Fallout 4 was officially unveiled this week. And the annoucement trailer went a little like this.
Which is all kinds of cool for those who have been waiting since Fallout New Vegas for some more time in this wasteland.
It's less clear just how long we're going to have to wait to play this new game. Multiple outlets have been reporting that Fallout 4 could be ready before the end of 2015, including the official store for developers Bethesda, which lists the release as 'TBA 2015'.
Now the company has spoken out about that date, suggesting that it might merely have been a placeholder: "The official store is run independently by Treehouse. We have not shared any news on a release date."
So this word wasn't coming directly down from the people in the know, and the listing has since been updated to a more nebulous TBA. That said, Treehouse could have let the information slip, and we might yet see the game before the turn of the year.
So you should set aside a couple of hundred hours to enjoy it properly.
