More than 13 years ago a game called Beyond Good & Evil debuted on consoles. It was gorgeous and mysterious and full of action and a lot of photography and I thought it just was absolutely sublime.
While the initial release wasn't that successful the game has gained a cult following in the intervening years and has been re-released a number of times, confirming the interest fans still have in this marvellous world.
In the many years since there have been plenty of rumours of a sequel, with some leaked footage from Ubisoft even suggesting some version had been made, complete with some great updated graphics.
But official news is thin on the ground, despite everyone involved - including creator Michel Ancel - saying that development does still continue in some form. The latest is a random art drop from this very man, which gets me excited all over again.
That looks like a tiny Pey'j spending some time with a humanoid character. He was the father-ish figure and engineer in the original game, when he was a whole lot larger.
This could be his offspring potentially but there's no way to know, or any more info on exactly where the art comes from. Exciting yes. Frustrating - double yes!
