Big Day One Patch for inFAMOUS: Second Son Brings Additional Content
Sucker Punch ARG tied in with free new content...

A 300MB day one patch for Sucker Punch's inFAMOUS: Second Son delivers a surprising amount of additional content to gamers on top of the usual last-minute fixes and alterations. The new content will bring with it around fivehours of new missions (19 in total have been added to the story with the update)for players to work through, merging the real world with the game world to accompany Sucker Punch's pre-release ARG.

On top of that, players who pre-ordered the game will be able to access an additional hour of play and uncover some of the events that followed inFAMOUS 2 as part of Cole's Legacy Content Pack.

The technical issues addressed with the patch have also been outlined by Sucker Punch as follows:

  • Normal difficulty has been slightly increased to challenge the player’s mastery of their powers
  • Expert difficulty has been fine-tuned to ensure it is the best experience for skilled gamers
  • Karma progression extended to support longer playtime
  • The boss fights have been re-tuned for difficulty and fun
  • More dynamic boss behaviors and attacks
  • Engine performance tweaks to allow for more life and activity in the city
  • Increased pedestrian and traffic density and variety
  • Increased pedestrian-related karmic opportunities
  • Post-story enemy activity and D.U.P. raids
  • Technical Improvements
  • Graphics and performance improvements
  • Fixes for a small number of infrequent blocking bugs
  • PSN integration to support Paper Trail DLC

inFAMOUS: Second Son is available now exclusively on PlayStation 4, and has been received quite well by the gaming media so far. We'll have our review up as soon as our copy of the game arrives from Sony - goddamned mailman,,,
