If you enjoyed Bloodborne and wanted more reason to explore the world, you’ll be pleased to hear that an expansion is in the works.
President of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the expansion. Taking to Twitter, he said, “An expansion is coming.”
Unfortunately, that’s about all he said. More details will follow “later this year.” It’s good to know that more content is planned; fans will be disappointed that he didn’t even hint as to what this expansion might entail.
It’s novel that they’re not rushing DLC out the door in this day and age. Instead, players are given plenty of time to get all they can or want to get from the game. And then, they will be invited back into the world.
Dark Souls wrapped up its story in its lengthy Artorias of the Abyss expansion. Meanwhile, Dark Souls 2 got a trio of smaller add-ons: Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King. All we know for now is that one expansion for Bloodborne is definitely planned.
Perhaps more will be revealed at E3 in June.
