Bloodbone is a full throated roar of a game, one in which its very likely you'll die on your first enemy encounter, and then continue to die for the next several dozen hours as you try desperately to progress.
For some players, that's a very paticular kind of fun but one thing which made this otherwise stellar title frustrating were the lengthy load times. Not such a problem if you're playing a blinder but if you're dying as regularly as we were, it really took away from the momentum of the game.
It's an aspect which has been receiving criticism since the game launched in late March and developers From Software have been hard at work on a fix. And it's finally here, thanks to the latest patch which brings the game to version 1.03. The loading time of up to a minute per death has been drastically reduced to between 5 and 15 seconds depending on circumstances. That's a massive improvement and should make the game even more appealing for players, with well over 1 million sales already.
Here are the full patch notes:
-Reduced loading times (approx 5-15 seconds;. May Vary by circumstance)
-fixed bug That left Certain Lifts and elevators inoperable
-fixed bug That Resulted in bosses Becoming Immobilized
-fixed bug That left Players unable to Advance NPC events During multi-Play
-When the PS4 IS put into Rest Mode During Online Play, the Game Will Now Return to the main title screen upon resuming PlayThis Will resolve matchmaking issues related to Suspend / Resume.
-Other Various bug fixes
The patch should automatically download if you turn on your PS4 but you can also force it to check for updates by going to the game and clicking options and selecting check for updates.
