The Borderlands series is a pretty strange one - go forth and shoot things and get loads of different random weapons in a strange cell shaded world. That's basically what its all about, and it kind of works.
One of the main advantages the series has is some incrediblygood writing from Anthony Burch, basically because its just nuts. And one of the nuttiest elements of this all-nut sandwich is Handsome Jack. He's the main villain for Borderlands 2 but is an ally in The Pre-Sequel - though he's still basically insane.
And hey, 2K just announced that you'll get to play as the Handsome one in the first DLC pack for The Pre-Sequel. Well, kind of. Actually, you'll lock and load as his doppelganger....
The Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack arrives onthe 11thof November (same day as the Halo Master Chief Collection) and will let you play along with the other characters. Jack's Doppelganger can spawn extra Digi-Jacks who will draw fire and take out enemies themselves, and are upgradeable in skill trees.
That's in addition to being able to shoot enemies with wrist lasers, earn more cash for picking up cash and get upgrades for using guns by certain manufacturers. Presumably thanks to some kind of sponsorship deal. We bet you also throw harsh language from time to time.
There will be more DLC on the way, including more story, another playable character and a bump to that level cap. Each pack costs a tenner but you can get everything for 30 quid via the Season Pass. Which is good value if you're into that sort of thing.
Borderlands The Pre Sequel Handsome Jack Doppelganger Pack (say that fast seven times) is out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from the 11th of November 2014.
