The zombies are back.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II may be making a break for the future with its gameplay set partly in 2025 but it’s nice to see some things haven’t changed as the highly enjoyable zombies mode makes a return.

Zombies is a multiplayer addition to the Call of Duty gameplay experience which sees players taking on increasingly difficult hordes of undead in co-operative chaos. Activision has just released a teaser for the mode, which looks properly chilling.


There isn’t a lot of information out there about Zombies just yet, pending the reveal on the 26th of September teased in this video. But there’s a suggestion here of a framing narrative around the levels and even a moving fight taking place aboard that bus. Which looks very tasty indeed, pulling from decades of cinematic carnage involving these oddly popular creatures.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC from the 13th of November. You’ll also be able to get grab it on Wii U on launch day.
