Illustrious game developers Bioware have launched an initiative to decide the face of the female Sheppard. Complimenting the reliably derivative male Sheppard from the previous 2 instalments in their acclaimed Sci Fi series, Bioware wants you, the fans*, to have a say in her final appearance for Mass Effect 3.

To this end their Mass Effect 2 Facebook Page has uploaded a sextet of images. If you’ve a preference, the developers suggest you ‘like’ the Sheppard you want to blow shit up with.

(However, they have yet to upload stills rendering the back of her head. This strikes me as curious considering ME3 will be, primarily, an over the shoulder third person shooter…)

Opposite is an image of Femshep 5, leading the pack with a staggering 17,519 likes.

If trends continue in this vein you can expect to cause general mayhem with this aggressive looking blonde commander come March 2012.

*Everyone is actually a Mass Effect fan. Some just don’t actually know it yet…
