You've played as the President in Saints Row IV, but now it's time to play as the Vice President in Citizens of Earth.
Back in 2013 developer Eden Industries, Waveform is the only other game they've developed, ran a Kickstarter that despite excitement did not make its funding goal. It made only $36,875 of its $100,000 funding goal. Still Atlus, a publisher well known for bringing Japanese games like Person to North America, saw something in the game they really liked and are bringing the game to Wii U eShop and the 3DS.
"Citizens of Earth combines the modern setting and humorous tone of Earthbound with the recruitment mechanics of games like Pokemon and Suikoden," Eden Industries wrote in its Kickstarter pitch. You don't build a party of fantasy character heroes and heroines like in most RPGs, but instead as the Vice President you build a party made up of regular people who have every day jobs like bakers, used car salesmen, and teachers.
The game hits the eShop in September 2014.
