Psycho's back, and he's super English
EA and Crytek are bringing the super suit back for Crysis 3 in 2013, and today we've got an all new slice of single player slickness.
The Crysis series started in 2007 as an open world FPS which focussed on a group of soldiers trapped on a dangerous island with only their super awesome technology standing in the way of some extra terrestrial nasties and the rest of the planet. The original featured unique emergent gameplay but was most notable, on PC anyway, for being one of the most stunning games ever released.
An add on followed in 2008 with fully fledged sequel Crysis 2 bowing in 2011 and adding a real story and an impressive new location in the ruins of New York City.
For the third game, CryTek is taking us back to the city so good they named it twice, to a story set in the year 2047, decades after Crysis 2. You'll take on the role of gravelly-voiced Prophet once more and return to New York, but things are looking a little different. That's chiefly down to the city being encased in a massive biodome which causes the growth of massive plantlife. It looks all kinds of pretty.
For a taste, check out the new single-player gameplay preview which features Prophet and cockney geezer Psycho out to put some caps in some fools.
