Dark Souls II is now on Steam. That means if you've been totally meaning to get around to playing it but secretly are just too wimpy - now you have one less excuse.
From Software's latest follows on from the original Dark Souls, which basically did away with any kind of hand holding for gamers and stuck them in a nightmarish world where death wasn't just a possibility, it was an inevitability.
And, in a move that's not at all surprising, the sequel provides more of the same. On the one hand, that means incredibly unforgiving gameplay but on the other side you'll find brilliantly balanced combat and some of the most creatively fiendish enemies you'll ever have seen outside of your nightmares.
The PC version of the game features higher resolution textures for an even more immersive experience and better frame rates. Otherwise, its the same, gruelling and rewarding deal.
Grab it on Steam right now for €49.99.
