The upcoming Crown of the Ivory King DLC for Dark Souls II will not be released until September 30th, according to Bandai Namco.
The final downloadable add-on for Dark Souls II will be available via Steam and Xbox Live on September 30th with PlayStation owners able to download the content on October 1st. This DLC will see players travelling to a world of snow and ice full of dangerous creatures. If they didn’t pose enough of a threat, players will also have to deal with blinding snowstorms.
However, players will be able to gain followers – allied, AI-controlled characters who will help them in battles against tough bosses. This feature will, of course, make those battles that bit easier. We’re guessing a few fights will require players to have followers on their side to make them beatable.
Crown of the Ivory King is the third DLC chapter for Dark Souls II, and was originally scheduled for release on September 24th. The publisher did not give an explanation for the delay.
