There's something in the icy air tonight...
Dead Space 3 goes a bit epic, and a little silly, with an all new trailer.
As Visceral’s latest third person terror simulator nears its February release date, those promotional materials keep on coming. Today we’ve got a partly CG trailer which could best be described as evocative, trying to get across an impression of the game in a mere 80 seconds.
Check out Isaac trudging through the snow and a glimpse at some huge enemies who he’ll take on either alone or with the potentially problematic Carver in tow.
Oh, and just try to watch this without imagining a large musical gorilla. You will understand shortly…
So that was Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight in a trailer for Dead Space 3for some reason. Does it have some relevance to the plot? Or did those marketing chaps actually think people would find it suitably epic? Maybe they just fancied giving us a giggle of a Monday. Well it worked.
Dead Space 3 features the continuing voyages of Isaac Clarke (the breathy fellow at the end of the trailer) as he tries to have a normal life but horrific things keep happening to him. This time that involves an icy planet, yet more Necromorphs and even human foes this time around, as well as a mentally unstable shooting partner. Good times.
Dead Space 3 is coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC from the 5th of February.
