Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the follow-up to Human Revolution, has been announced and is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The title is set two years after the events of the last game and once again features protagonist Adam Jensen. The leaked article, however, mentions that actions from Human Revolution will not carry over. None of Human Revolution's four "endings" is considered canon. However, developer Edios Montreal promises that player choice will play a big part in shaping how Mankind Divided’s story plays out.
Like Human Revolution, Mankind Divided will feature a mix of stealth and high-octane combat. Players will be able to customise their weapons, and augment Jensen into the machine that they envision him to be. Fans of the series will be pleased to hear that Eidos Montreal is working to improve combat systems and boss encounters.
Eidos Montreal plans to reveal Mankind Divided later today, but we already know these details thanks to the folks at NeoGAF and Game Informer’s May cover. Still, we’re hoping that Eidos Montreal has a couple of surprises up its sleeves.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided does not have a release date, but it will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when the time is right.
