Following what seemed like the complete disappearance ofDiablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition from the console release schedule, Blizzard has finally announced that the game will hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on August 19th.
The special edition will bundle the original version of Diablo III with the game's Reaper of Souls expansion, which launched earlier this year on PC.
For those of you who already own the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of Diablo III and areconsidering a next gen upgrade, the good news is that your previous-gen saves will be compatible with the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game, so you don't have to worry about endless grinding to get your characters back up to where you left off.
Players who opt to pre-order the game ahead of its release will be rewarded with an exclusive in-game item.
For those of you who are keeping track of the scores in the resolution wars, Blizzard has previously announced that the PS4 version of the game will run at 1080p and 60fps, but there have been no such confirmations regarding the Xbox One version which was only confirmed in the announcement today.
