The next Battlefield game is currently in development at DICE, according to development director Dan Vaderlind.
He took to Twitter to confirm that his involvement with Star Wars Battlefront is complete and that he is moving onto another project. That other project happens to be a little thing called Battlefield.
Star Wars Battlefront was released last month, though DICE is continuing to work away on it. Players got their hands on the free Battle of Jakku DLC earlier this month and more free content is planned. Meanwhile, there is also paid-for content on the way.
While work continues, some team members will be shifting their development efforts to the next Battlefield.
EA confirmed that Battlefield 5 will return to the more traditional military setting after Hardline's police-themed experiment earlier this year. EA also said that it's targeting a holiday 2016 release date, which isn't overly surprising.
