Born from the original adventure game classics and a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2013, Dreamfall Chapters is finally in full swing, and there's a new episode on the way.
It's a strange story of alternative worlds and unusual powers, with a couple of interesting leads, some nice graphics and the odd awkwardly translated piece of dialogue. It has just been confirmed that Book 4 of the series will be launching very soon indeed, on the 3rd of December. And there's a trailer to go with it which has spoilers for those who aren't up to date.
This release comes not long after Red Thread Games took the decision to upgrade the entire series to the latest version of the Unity graphics engine, which caused some serious delays as issues were ironed out stretching across all of the content released to date. The upside for players is a much prettier game and older episodes that now look better than before. We're willing to bet the developers will never change engines partway through a series again.
If this all looks like something you'd be interested in, you might like to know that the full series (which should eventually tally 5 episodes) is heavily discounted on Steam right now at €14.99 and you can also get both previous games for just €12.49.
