EA Access slip may have revealed new Battlefield's name

The next instalment in the Battlefield series will be unveiled properly today, and according to EA Access it'll be called Battlefield 5.

Tweeting about the free DLC for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, it told a fan that it was "a surprise event for members to celebrate the Battlefield 5 event tomorrow." Previous rumours suggested that it could be called Battlefield 1, as it's believed that the game will take us back to the World War 1 or World War 2 era.

EA yesterday released the first "game engine footage," in which a soldier looks up at an object that's looming over him. This footage has led to further speculation that it'll feature a World War 1 or World War 2 setting because of his uniform.

We don't have to wait too long to find out for sure. The new Battlefield will be revealed at 9pm tonight.
