EA Giving Away Dead Space Free on Origin
New "On the House" scheme to serve up free classics...

EA's Origin service has announced that it'll be taking a leaf out of the book of Sony's PlayStation Plus and Microsoft's Games with Gold to offer members sporadic freebies, starting with survival horror classic Dead Space. However, unlike the other two services, there's no fee to become a member of Origin, meaning that free really DOES mean free - and there's no time limit on how long you can hold onto the game, either, so you don't have to worry about hidden restrictions in order to enjoy the games made available as part of the initiative.

All you need to do to grab your digital copy of Dead Space is head on over to Origin via this link and sign in or create a new account if you need one. Then it's simply a matter of downloading and getting stuck into one of the most terrifying gaming experiences of the past decade! There's no rush to get your copy, either, as it'll be available between now and May 8th, when, we assume, it'll be replaced by another free title.

And who doesn't love a free game?
