While EA’s release windows are often as predictable as the sunrise and sunset, there were some interesting details revealed in its earnings call.
Mirror’s Edge 2 will launch in Q4, otherwise known as the start of 2016. There will be a new Plants vs Zombies, a successor to Garden Warfare, which will also come out at the same time.
After missing out last year, for the first time since 2001, Need for Speed fans have an unnamed title to look forward to. It will be released in Q3. The mobile-only Need for Speed No Limits will also be made widely available later this year.
Those hoping for more Titanfall news will be disappointed. The publisher said that Titanfall 2 won’t be ready until sometime in fiscal 2017.
As you’d expect, EA plans to release new FIFA, Madden, NHL, and NBA Live titles this year. Rory McIlroy takes over the spotlight from Tiger Woods for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which will also slot into Q2.
With E3 just six weeks away, expect to hear more about these scheduled titles at EA’s press conference.
