This really rather whimsical trailer for Far Cry 4 does a pretty wonderful job of putting over Kyrat’s elephant population as naturally occurring tanks! Indeed, hop aboard one of these 7 ton beauties to ram down barricades, flip jeeps, trample guards, fling guards, hold guards up so you can shotgun them at point blank range and generally speaking, wreck the shop.
Despite worries that Far Cry 4 is a tad too similar to its predecessor; its advertising campaign couldn’t be more different. While Far Cry 3’s marketing centred on the twisted, positively Carrollian narrative, its 2014 successor is certainly emphasising the assorted antics you can get up to while cruising the Himalayan highlands of Kyrat.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, with Troy Baker voicing the colourful antagonist Pagan Min, Far Cry 4 inherits and expands upon its predecessor’s simply incredible sandbox gunplay and boasts all the elements of a game of the year contender. Best of all, we get to see first-hand just how bloodthirsty those elephants are on November 18th for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
