Bethesda is bringing Fallout 4 to E3 this year. But apparently it won’t be showing it off to the public.
Only members of the press will reportedly get to see gameplay from the game. Bethesda will, according to German site PC Games, show off a 20-30 minute demo of Fallout 4 to invited press outlets.
The information comes via anonymous sources, so take from that what you will. It seems strange that Bethesda would keep one of its most eagerly anticipated games behind closed doors. This year is the first time it will host a showcase at E3 and many would expect that Fallout 4 would be a centrepiece of something like that.
Bethesda will open the doors to a fan-friendly showcase on Sunday, June 14th. E3 2015 gets underway on June 16th and runs until June 18th.
Fallout 4 was confirmed as far back as 2008. In 2012 it was rumoured that the game would be set in Boston, a rumour that was backed up by a purported casting call sheet leaked in 2013.
There were rumours in 2013 that Bethesda would show off Fallout 4 behind closed doors at E3, but these turned out to be false. Some fans may be hoping that Bethesda shows off anything Fallout 4 to anyone at this stage. Others will pray that this rumour is untrue and that Bethesda will show off Fallout 4 gameplay to all.
