EA and Konami have announced new partnerships for FIFA and PES respectively.
PES has partnered with Liverpool, possibly a reaction to bitter rival FIFA partnering with Manchester United. This partnership will see PES featuring accurate representations of Liverpool’s squad, kits, and a digital version of Anfield. That means you’re going to be hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone ring out pre- and in-game.
Meanwhile, FIFA’s partnership with Manchester United will see players get “unique access” to Manchester United through the game. They’ll get interactive experiences, social campaigns, wallpapers, and downloadable covers.
The partnership has also been seen in the single player career mode, The Journey. The trailer introduced us to Alex Hunter, plying his trade at Manchester United. Marcus Rashford worked with EA as a consultant on the story mode.
Expect both games to arrive in September. PES 2017 is out first, coming out on September 15, while FIFA 17 is coming out on September 29.
