Final Fantasy fans - good news! The ninth numbered entry in the series has just been released on PC via Steam.
The game originally released in 2000 and a possible PC release was touted by owners Square Enix earlier in the year but since then there has been no new information. Then this week an early listing suggested it could be about to launch and, lo and behold, it's here!
You can find it over on Steam right now for €16.79. For the most part its the same game you might have generally ennjoyed 16 years ago, though it comes with higher res character models and CG as well as achievements, autosaves and boosters which let you turn off things like random encounters.
Fans can experience the full implementation again or use those cheats (for want of a better word) to just power through the main story. And you can be sure that you'll have a very pretty time indeed.
