Match-3 puzzler Tumblestone will be one of the titles free to Xbox Live members next month, according to developer The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild.
They revealed that it will be released on Xbox One as part of the Games with Gold promo on July 16. The game sees you faced with an array of blocks and you blast them one at a time to match three of the same colour.
"Tumblestone is the first original action-puzzle game of the past fifteen years – completely reinventing the genre into a deep and cerebral puzzle solving experience," the developer said. "Diverging from the staid match-3 formula of Bejeweled, Tumblestone strips out all the random gem flipping junk, and elevates the genre with unique puzzles and intense multiplayer gameplay in the spirit of Tetris Attack and Dr. Mario. This isn’t a game for people who want to lull themselves to sleep, no, Tumblestone is for gamers who love old-school puzzle games!"
The game features a 40-hour story campaign in which players must "help the Sausage King make friends and discover what happened to the Tumblecrown," while local and online multiplayer should scratch the more competitive itch.
Tumblestone will hit PlayStation 4, PC, and Wii U on July 12, a week before it’s free on Xbox One.
Microsoft is expected to reveal the remainder of July’s free Games with Gold very shortly.
