Flappy Bird was tough. So tough, in fact, that it led to more smashed phones than happy customers when it launched on iOS and Android in May 2013.
So much ire was directed at the game that developer Dong Nguyen eventually pulled it from the app stores. He felt bad that it was too addictive, apparently.
Nguyen is back now, ready to take over your lives again with a new title. And its really very similar looking. Instead of going left to right, Swing Copter tasks you with going from bottom to top under the power of your helicopter blade head. Look just check out the trailer and it will make sense.
One of the keys to the success of Flappy Bird was its simplicity and those one touch controls make a return for Swing Copters. Just tap to change the direction of the little flying thing and try not to crash into anything. That's it.
Will this be as addictive as Flappy Bird. We're guessing, on first impressions, no. But people are still going to find it super frustrating.
Swing Copters is on iOS and Android from the 21st of August 2014.
