Frozen Endzone renamed to seperate it from football image
Mode 7 Games has been trying to dispel notions that Frozen Endzone is simply an American Football game with robots and is changing the game’s title to Frozen Cortex to separate it further.

As explained in a blog post, Frozen Cortex is a turn-based strategy game wrapped up in a brutal futuristic sport. It takes an influence from football, but “you can certainly play it without understanding even a smidgen of that particular game.” Mode 7 pointed out that “Some people thought we were making a Madden game with robots” and was quick to point out that that isn’t the case.

This change is more than just a rename. Frozen Cortex features certain aesthetical changes including a new ball, player animations, and some different pitch elements. It also has OSX and Linux versions and an overhauled AI.

Some of the changes can be seen in the Frozen Cortex Early Access trailer below.
