Well this is very good news. If you live in Japan.
At TGS, Sony announced that they're bringing around 250 older PSP games to the PSN store on Vita. And they're going to be offered as part of PlayStation Plus, meaning some of them will be entirely free.
That's pretty great news, especially as the PS Vita starts to come into its own as a unique and delightful gaming platform. It's not clear just yet which games are going to be offered, and how many of them are going to be free, but its great to see Sony being willing to give more and more to their people.
It does make things a little confusing though - this is PlayStation Plus, which is entirely separate from the PlayStation Now project that is currently in testing in the US and will have a different catalogue. And this has only been confirmed for Japan, leaving PS Plus users elsewhere in the cold. Without classic games.
More as we get it.
