Capcom has announced that it is bringing
Marvel Super Heroes and
Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes together for the modern generation in the form of
Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. This title aims to bring the classic fighters to a modern generation with some updated features alongside classic gameplay mechanics. Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will feature online play, replays and spectator mode, HD graphics, a range of unlockables, and dynamic challenges like those seen in
Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online.
Marvel Super Heroes uses some of the cast of X-Men: Children of Atom and throws in some extra characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and Captain America for good measure. Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, i.e. the original Marvel vs Capcom, also takes a good chunk of the X-Men crew with the added bonus of featuring Street Fighter characters and other Capcom favourites such as Mega Man.
The dual pack will be released in September on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with a price tag of $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft points.
