After the initial teaser released last week, Codemasters has released a more meaty trailer for Grid 2. The trailer shows a few of the different tracks and cars that will be on offer in the eagerly anticipated racing title. Codemasters is promising that Grid 2 will “raise the gameplay and technological bar for motorsport gaming and remain true to the series' core value -- it's all about the race.”

The trailer showcases plenty of high speed octane action along with a few scrapes and crashes; just what you would expect from a Grid title then. Once it includes Destruction Derby, we’ll be happy. Two screenshots have also been released so far. More are on offer on Racenet, but there will be conditions attached to them. The next goal is to get 2,500 Twitter followers and 8,000 Facebook fans. Then the goal will be set for the following screenshot.

Grid 2 is expected to arrive at its slot on the starting grid in the summer of 2013.
