Yes, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will have a day one patch and it will clock in at 15GB.
That’s 5GB less than what was originally promised, but that’s unlikely to be too much consolation to those with download limits or slow internet. The update adds multiplayer and a few other features.
If you’ve pre-ordered the upcoming title digitally, you can set the patch to download right now if you have auto-downloads turned on. 343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub announced the news on Twitter. He wrote, “Good news gang! Day One TU for MCC is up! If you haven't enabled auto download, go get it now!! #HaloMCC”
Those who can’t download the patch immediately will still be able to play the campaigns while it is downloading, according to 343 Industries. At least you’ll be able to enjoy some good old fashioned Halo while you wait.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released on November 11th.
