Far Cry 4 is a pretty amazing game, but the DLC so far hasn't been quite up to the same standard.
We're hoping that can all change with the final DLC piece - Valley of the Yetis. The new content has just been confirmed for a March 10th release, and it promises a whole new area to explore as Ajay Ghale, plus the chance to see a lot more of those yetis. Here's the first full trailer.
At this point, I'm actually just really happy to see that you get to play against enemies that look a little different, even if its just a new skin. The Yetis themselves look... ok. I'm kind of sorry to see so much of them in the trailer, as I'd much rather discover these hulking beasts for myself. Let's hope they're used sparingly in the full game and that they're seriously difficult to kill.
Here's the official synopsis:
"Lost on a remote Himalayan ridge after a helicopter crash, Ajay is caught in a battle for survival. But he is not alone. A mysterious cult inhabits this valley and now hides a secret based on old legends. Discover the secret behind the cult of The Awakened Ones, and survive the yetis."
There's no word on whether there will be unique weapons included in the DLC, though we're presuming the way in which the start is set up that Ajay will be left without any of the advanced killing machines you've picked up in the rest of the game. Which is kind of a shame. Valley of the Yetis can be bought separately or as part of the Season Pass which also includes a few other pretty forgettable items.
Valley of the Yetis comes to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on the 10th of March 2015, with the PS4 and PS3 version arriving on March 11th.
