Ubisoft’s survival action title
I Am Alive has finally made it to the
PSN, or
SEN. Or whatever it calls itself these days.
The game puts players in the well worn shoes of an unnamed protagonist, who has taken a year to return home after his plane went down during The Event – an unexplained global disaster which has left the world devastated. Finding his wife and daughter gone, our hero must head out into the wilds of Haventon to try to piece together what happened.
I Am Alive had an interesting development cycle (read: messy) but manages to deliver an interesting take on the genre – with the usual climbing and combat mechanics which are complicated by a high degree of realism. Your character tires easily while climbing and a single mistake during a fight often means death.
