CineFix’s 8 Bit Cinema brand also dabbles in 16 bit entertainment. They’re good like that. But for Quentin Tarantino’s 4th and 4.5th movie duology, Kill Bill, they’ve kept things decidedly old school.
They’ve also left things chronological, lining up all of The Bride’s bloodiest brawls as they occur in the time line, not in the manner of their presentation. It’s a good production, and a testament to 8 bit cinema that this feels like a title I spend a gory weekend with back when I was in junior school. But it also acts as an unsettling reminder that there were precious few decent fights in the entire Kill Bill project.
I went there.
