Kojima Productions removed from Silent Hills/P.T. website

Kojima fans were worried when the Kojima Productions logo was removed from Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. And it looks like their fears have been justified. Konami has since removed the logo from the official Silent Hills/P.T. website.

Gamespot grabbed before and after pictures of the website. It originally featured the Kojima Productions logo on the bottom-left corner of the page. It’s no longer there, with just the Fox Engine logo still in place.

When asked for any information regarding whether or not Kojima and Guillermo del Toro were still working on the game, Konami didn’t give much away. It said, “Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organization, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn't be listed as a studio anymore. At this time, there are no additional updates to share."

It was previously reported that Kojima Productions would be terminating its relationship with Konami at the end of its contract in December. This is well after Metal Gear Solid 5’s release, which is out in September, but before the release of Silent Hills/P.T. Fans will be hoping that the two manage to settle any potential tensions.
