She's a survivor in the new trailer.
Up until now, Lara Croft has been somewhat struggling in the trailers for the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider. We’ve seen her injured, unsure of her capabilities, and alone in the wilderness. She has been hunted, but now the hunted becomes the hunter as Lara turns the tables and seeks to find her friends and fellow crew members. This particular trailer features more adrenalin-pumping moments, explosions and some handy skills with a bow and arrow. This weapon alone will allow Lara to strangle people at close range, take down enemies quickly and silently, blow up explosive barrels if more of an impact is needed, and pull weak structures from under the feet of enemies.
The trailer hints that players may have to make tough decisions as her mentor advises that she can’t save everyone. Lara doesn’t respond directly to this sentiment, so we could be looking at some dramatic moments as long as we have some time to build up camaraderie with the various characters.
Tomb Raider will be released on March 5th, 2013 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
