Modern Warfare 3’s Survival mode was shown off on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The mode, which comes as part of the updated Spec Ops mode, pitches players against increasingly difficult waves of enemies across Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer maps. Spec Ops will include a new progressive ranking system, an online matchmaking system and leaderboards

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling, Sledgehammer’s Glen Schofield and Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg were on hand to reveal the mode publically. Show guest, and avid gamer, Simon Pegg was on hand to try out the Survival mode. Viewers got a glimpse of what Survival mode will ultimately be like as the guests played through the first wave of the new gametype.
