Need for Speed: Most Wanted on the Wii U will feature a new local co-op mode, Co-Driver. In this mode, one player will take the wheel using the Wii Remote or Wii U Pro Controller, while the other uses the Wii U GamePad to give their partner navigational advice, or take on a more practical role by distracting cops, switch the day-night cycle, or activate enhanced performance for any car on-the-fly. The co-pilot will also be able to change their mods, switch into their favorite cars, track milestones and uncover what the city has to offer from the Wii U touch screen.
Included in the Wii U version is the Ultimate Speed Pack, which features the McLaren’s F1 LM, the Aventador J, the Pagani Zonda R, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, and the Venom GT Spyder. As with other console versions, the game features Autolog 2, which allows players to compare and contrast their performance against friends, and its online multiplayer. Any Speed Points earned on the Wii U will add to players’ existing totals if they are also playing on other platforms.
The racing title will be playable off-screen using the Wii U GamePad, so there shouldn’t be too many arguments over the main TV in any given household when the game arrives on March 19th in North America and March 21st in Europe.
