Mario players raise over $100,000
Over $100,000 has been raised by a dedicated group of gamers for Child’s Play Charity. After over four days, or 110 hours, the group called time on their Super Mario Marathon. The group completed all 774 goals that had been unlocked. Goals were unlocked based on the amount raised. Had another $900 been raised, the group would have had to take on either Mario Galaxy 2 or Super Mario Sunshine and gather eight green stars or sixteen blue coins.

Over the course of the four days, the group raised awareness of the charity and its efforts. Child’s Play is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 60 hospitals worldwide. Viewers were also given the opportunity to partake in polls, challenges and could win some prizes just for watching or donating.

In previous years, a video on demand service has been provided for people who missed the live event. It is likely that this will be made available in the coming days for Mario Marathon 4.
