Mass Effect Trilogy Heading to Next Gen?

Mass Effect Trilogy Heading to Next Gen?
Another classic franchise to be given a next-gen lick of paint?

Reports are circulating today that Mass Effect Trilogy could be set to make its way to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year, marking it as the latest title to receive a next gen repackaging, following the likes of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and The Last of Us Remastered.

With the news based around a less-than-reliable listing from a Chilean games retailer, it's far from a given that this is actually a real thing, however it would definitely be a nice addition to the current game lineups on both systems, especially given the sheer volume of content present across the trilogy.

It's a topic that BioWare has broached as recently as this year, with studio general manager Aaryn Flynn claiming that it's something the team has "discussed internally."Whether or not it actually happens is another story entirely, though, and with the BioWare team hard at work at the next instalment in the series, we wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be unfounded (although we're very much hoping it's true).
