Hearthstone fairly lit up the internet when it launched in 2014 on the PC. It's a glossy card-trading game set in the massively popular Warcraft universe which sees you battling against human and AI opponents for a share of their tasty card collection. And now, after over a year, you can finally experience all that it has to offer on the go on iOS and Android.
The really big news here is that its coming to smartphones, as the game launched in April 2014 for the iPad and previously appeared on Android tablets. There's a lot going on in your average Hearthstone game - including plenty of juicy art and animation - so its really impressive that Blizzard managed to recreate the game for a much smaller screen without watering down the experience.
The turn-based play is virtually identical to its big brother but features a few new additions for smartphones, including new touchscreen inputs to make it easier to check out your hand before deciding what move you want to make. And the best news is definitely the fact that the game remains totally free to play - though there are micro-transactions and you can pay more to unlock the additional expansion packs currently available.
