Mirror's Edge 2 will be called Catalyst

The new Mirror’s Edge game will officially be called Catalyst.

EA registered the MirrorsEdgeCatalyst.com domain name yesterday, and a trademark popped up for the game around the same time.

This was later followed by a tweet from the official Mirror’s Edge Twitter account. This all but confirms that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is the name of the upcoming first-person free-running title.

EA played a trailer for the game at E3 in 2013, but it’s been fairly quiet since. However, with the game out at the beginning of next year, we’re expecting a full unveiling during EA’s E3 press conference next week.

EA plans to release Mirror’s Edge Catalyst on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in the first quarter of 2016. It’s unknown at the moment if the title will arrive on last-gen consoles.
